The hallmark of the Cyclades is the bare rocks and the contrast between the whitewashed houses and the endless blue of the Aegean. Cosmopolitan life on Mykonos, a sophisticated pace on Tinos, and gastronomic delights on Sifnos. And of course everything on the most beautiful island in the world, Santorini. Some of the larger islands, such as Syros, are lively year-round and make ideal weekend getaways, while the smaller and more remote ones, such as Amorgos or Anafi, primarily appeal to alternative travel enthusiasts and have a short season, mainly limited to the summer months.
