Antikyra: The village of Boeotia that feels like an island

It looks like an island but its in Boeotia. Antikyra is a lovely idea for a short getaway by the sea, all year round.

Between the slopes of Parnassos and the shores of the Corinthian Gulf, about 170 km. from Athens and 37 km. from Livadeia, lies Antikyra, a seaside village of Boeotia that is ideal for peaceful getaways all year round.

This place blends mountain and sea in a magical way. The picturesque harbor with traditional fishing boats and the beautiful lighthouse is Antikyras signature.

Here you will enjoy a tranquil seaside stroll, eat fresh fish at the restaurants and little tavernas, and drink your coffee with your gaze fixed on the Corinthian Gulf. The best view of Antikyra can be enjoyed from the hilltop with the chapel of Prophet Elias.

In summer you can swim at the beach of Agios Isidoros, a magnet for visitors from the wider area, at the beach of Antikyra as well as at the beach at Koutrou harbor.

Antikyra is a good base for short and interesting getaways, as it is very close to the famed Monastery of Hosios Loukas, as well as to Delphi and Arachova.
