It is said that this little paradise had enchanted Onassis and that during the period when he was looking to buy an island of his own, he kept visiting Trizonia and searching for a way to acquire it. Some older locals still remember his visits with the yacht Christina and the seaplane. The Greek tycoon, however, did not manage to acquire this small islet of the Gulf of Corinth and thus ended up buying Skorpios.
