Nestled in a lush green landscape of unique beauty, Alonaki Fanariou Beach is a gem of the Prefecture of Preveza worth discovering.
Along Epirus's coastline you'll find endless golden-sand beaches as well as small rocky coves with caves and turquoise waters that rival the islands' finest beaches. Depending on your mood, taste, and time, you can make many stops on a summer journey through Epirus.
One of the most beautiful beaches worth discovering lies in the prefecture of Preveza, 43 km from the center of Preveza and 25 km from cosmopolitan Parga. It's Alonaki Fanariou.
After descending a dirt path with steps, you'll come upon a small cove of wild beauty, with lush greenery that reaches down to the crystal-clear turquoise waters and a large rock in the middle of the sea. The scenery is truly impressive.
Alonaki Fanariou has fine sand and pebbles, gently shelving waters, and a rocky seabed that's ideal for snorkeling. The beach isn't organized, so it's a good idea to bring an umbrella. There is, however, a small snack bar just above the sand where you can stock up on essentials.
If you find yourself here, you can also visit the famous Necromanteion, located 7.5 km away, and the neighboring beaches of Skala and the Bay of Odysseus.
