Agia Anna

Among Amorgos’s most famous beaches, Agia Anna beach, with the chapel of the same name, is 3 km. from the island’s Chora and very close to the Monastery of Hozoviotissa. The beach is not large, yet it enchants visitors with its transparent, deep-blue waters, the rocks that are ideal for dives and sunbathing, and the wild beauty of the landscape around it. It is recommended for early-morning swims.

Mouros

Further down, after Agia Anna, lies the small and renowned beach of Mouros, with sand, fine pebbles, and rocks that jut out of the turquoise, clear waters. Swimming along, you will discover underwater caves along the rocks on the right side of the beach.Mouros beach is 15 km. from Amorgos’s Chora. You can drive only up to a point and then carefully follow the path to the beach.There is no natural shade and it is advisable to have an umbrella. Above the beach, a cafe-restaurant operates with lovely views.

Agios Pavlos

Agios Pavlos is a small peninsula with sand and fine pebbles. The beach is organized with sunbeds and a cafe-bar, while from here boats depart for Nikouria, a small island with beautiful beaches.

Kalotaritissa

The bay of Kalotaritissa is located at the southernmost point of the island. It is an organized, sandy, and sheltered beach with a beach bar and brilliantly blue waters, ideal for families. From here you can take a small boat to beautiful Gramvousa where there are two beaches with white sand and blue-green waters.

Aegiali

The beach of Aegiali is the island’s largest sandy beach, with crystal-clear blue-green waters. It is very easily accessible and sheltered,which is why families prefer it. Behind the beach there are bars, tavernas, and cafés.

Levrossos

At the end of Aegiali beach, an easy path leads to the superb sandy beach of Levrossos, where tamarisks provide abundant shade. On the beach there is a taverna as well as a beach barwith a few umbrellas-sunbeds.

Maltezi

Combining sandy shore with crystal-clear blue-green waters, Maltezi beach in Katapola is one of the island’s finest. It has a canteen andumbrellas-sunbeds. Access is either by a twenty-minute walk from Katapola or by boat.
