FOLEGANDROS

Folegandros is a mountainous island, a rock out in the open sea with steep shores, exposed to the northerly Aegean winds.Despite its limited size, it offers rich and fascinating experiences for the hiker who chooses to wander the well-preserved network of old cobbled roads and paths. A total of six interesting hikes, of moderate to high difficulty, traverse the entire island creating a trail network over 30 km. long and linking its major sections: Chora with the port of Karavostasis, Chora with the settlement of Agali, Agali with the Palio Themonies, the Palio Themonies with Taxiarchis, Taxiarchis with Ano Meria and finally Ano Meria with Chora.
