Since October 2007, when it began operating after a five-year restoration, the Ξενώνας των Χρωμάτων has been welcoming travelers into a distinctive environment filled with art and history.
It owes its name to the individuality of its rooms, not only in terms of color but also aesthetics. Its owner, Christos Fotou, houses here part of his well-known collection, with paintings and prints, with an exclusive focus on Thessaly and especially Magnesia. The guesthouses spaces are curated with the same love and meticulousness with which he has created his collection all these years.
The beautiful and spacious rooms of the guesthouse combine tradition with comfort and functionality, while most have stunning views of the Pagasetic Gulf and its islets. At the same time they are equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay.
Specifically, the guesthouse includes four suites for three or four people and two large double rooms in the main building. In the courtyard of the mansion there is a self-contained cottage, with a large double room. All the rooms are adorned with works of art, paintings or rare prints, offering a warm and tasteful environment to enjoy your stay.
The lounge is a focal point of the guesthouse. The large fireplace helps complete an atmosphere filled with warm colors and wooden surfaces. The setting is ideal for relaxing, and for reading one of the many noteworthy books found in the library.

Lafkos is located on the southern side of Pelion, 50 km from Volos, and is one of the most beautiful villages of the Mountain of the Centaurs. Built at an altitude of 330 m., it offers panoramic views of the Pagasetic Gulf, its islets and its seaside port, Milina. The village has preserved its traditional character intact, something that is evident both in the beautiful grand mansions and in its simple houses. It is also the crossroads for the beaches of the Pagasetic and the Aegean.
The guesthouse is a few meters from the village square. It is worth visiting the Fampeio Museum in the square, as well as the Monastery of Agios Athanasios, which was built in 1795, near the village. Nature lovers can walk the tranquil paths from Lafkos to the surrounding areas. Nearby there are many picturesque villages (Argalasti, Neochori, Milies, Vizitsa, Pinakates, Agios Georgios Nileias, Trikeri, etc.) that will offer you unique images and experiences.
