A journey of flavor into the heart of Arcadia, with a rich history.

With a long history dating back to 1990, the Maestro Patisserie preserves Arcadian tradition with recipes over a hundred years old. Giorgos and Stavroula Kouremenou opened their first shop in Vytina, one of the most popular destinations for winter getaways and beyond. The family business has passed to the second generation, their children, Panagiotis and Maria, who continually advance it through seminars in French and global gastronomy.

The specialty of the Maestro patisseries is galaktoboureko, crafted with care and quality ingredients, while their baklava also holds pride of place, which, according to internationally renowned author Jonathan Phang, is the best in the world. Equally outstanding are the melomakarona, diples and kourabiedes, based on their grandmothers traditional recipes.

Local ingredients form the foundation of their recipes, as the melomakarona and diples are honeyed with PDO Mainalo Fir Vanilla and Blossom honey and the kourabiedes are made with local sheep-and-goat butter. In their display cases you will find fragrant orange cake, golden kataifi, an assortment of syrup-soaked mini baklava and pistachio nests, as well as moist chocolate cake and chocolates for chocolate lovers.

The store on Vytinas central square was followed by two more, in Levidi and in Tripoli, all with the same exceptional quality and service. The Kouremenou family loves travel and it shows in their sweets, as they constantly refresh the menu with Eastern-style recipes with pistachio and buffalo butter, with premium Italian gelato as well as Catalan flavors, transporting customers from Istanbul to Barcelona.

In their stores you will also find handmade pasta from their workshop, an ideal purchase to slip into your luggage. Indeed, Maestro has been honored with Taste Olymp Awards in 2017 (awards for superior quality food and drink) for its traditional hilopites, kourabiedes and diples.
