Just a 30-minute drive from Chalkida and heading toward Northern Evia, at Nea Artaki you will turn right toward Steni and follow the signs until you reach Kato Steni. On the right side of the road you will see a sign for Agia Kyriaki and in less than five minutes you will be there.

Resting against a rock that forms the left side of the church and part of the sanctuary, the Church of Agia Kyriaki is essentially built onto the cave, in whose brambles the locals found the icon of Agia Kyriaki. The abundant running waters in the area can be seen even in the church’s cavernous interior.

The area has been laid with stone paving where street vendors often sell local products (honey, oregano, thyme, etc.), a bridge that crosses over the ravine and fountains running with crystal-clear water.

Almost all year you can admire the running waters that create small waterfalls and, by climbing a few steps and a few meters higher, a small pool with green waters fed by yet another small waterfall.

Kampia is a picturesque mountain village of central Evia, built in a wonderful natural environment. A place ideal for relaxation, far from the crowds. Near the entrance of the village lies the Kampia Gorge, or Havos Gorge, a well-hidden paradise for nature lovers in the heart of Evia. In the village’s traditional tavernas you will taste delicious local meats, the renowned trout, which is produced in the area’s fish farms, as well as the famous local fava.

Kampia is just 4 km. from the village of Steni and so you can combine them in a day trip to central Evia.
