The mansion was built in 1850 and stands 80 meters above the villages central square and 20 meters from the Church of Panagia, behind the large fountain.
The owners renovated and restored it with great passion and attention to detail, honoring tradition and the areas architectural character.
You can choose among 4 rooms (Semeli, Kallisti, Pelionides and Doris), one large suite (Archontariki) and one small suite (Petrino), all equipped with modern amenities for a pleasant stay. The rooms feature traditional furnishings and luxurious marble bathrooms, while most offer a fireplace.
Breakfast at Archontiko Melanthi is a lavish affair, as guests of the guesthouse have described it. Chocolate crepes, Pelion pies, fried dough rings, French toast with sugar and cinnamon, pancakes with honey and walnuts rotate daily, accompanying the classic ham- cheese, the areas blossom honey, fresh juice, their homemade jams and of course the coffee or tea you prefer.
The guesthouse features a wonderful terrace with a view of Volos where you can enjoy your coffee or drink, traditional local sweets, pies and local tsipouro alongside meze.
Around Archontiko Melanthi there are many enchanting places you can visit during your stay.
The nearest beach is just a 20-minute drive away, while the most beautiful beaches of Pelion are 45 minutes by car. Agios Ioannis, Papa Nero, Mylopotamos and Agioi Saranta are some of them.
