This year marks a more mature and gastronomic approach for Imabari in Corfu. The experience, however, doesn't stop at food and drink.
Imabari is located at one of the most historic spots in Corfu, in the Faliraki area.
The area is an integral part of Corfu's Old Town and still preserves the distinctive atmosphere shaped during the era of British rule.
The mansions that surround it, the unique view toward the Old Fortress, and the immediate connection to the Ionian Sea create a setting that captures the charm of Corfu's old aristocracy.
The historic St. Nicholas Baths hold a special place in the area's history. They began operating in 1851, when Corfu's first organized public baths were established, transforming Faliraki into one of the era's most important places of leisure and social life.
Today, more than a century and a half later, Imabari continues this site's relationship with the sea, creating a contemporary hospitality space that honors the place's history while offering a complete experience of gastronomy, relaxation, and modern hospitality.
Imabari is open daily from 10:00 to 01:00, following the rhythm of the day, morning coffee, brunch, lunch, an afternoon aperitivo, dinner, and cocktails until late at night.
The new culinary identity
This year marks a more mature, culinary approach.
The kitchen is led by chef Giorgos Spanos, presenting a contemporary Mediterranean menu based on fresh ingredients and Greek flavors.
On the menu you'll find dishes that reflect the kitchen’s philosophy, such as sea bass with Corfiot olive oil, chili, lemon, shallots, chives, and parsley, as well as a modern take on the traditional Sofrito with slow-cooked beef, potato terrine, parsley, garlic, and vinegar.
It's a menu with intensity, marrying Mediterranean cuisine with Greek and local references.
Cocktails to accompany the food
The cocktails are designed by Vasilis Gasteratos.
The list focuses on cocktails rooted in the present with a new age approach and crafted to pair perfectly with the restaurant’s gastronomic experience.
Behind the bar is a team that places particular emphasis on hospitality.
Imabari is a venue that evolves throughout the day. There is a dedicated area for coffee, breakfast, light bites, and aperitivos, while the restaurant offers a complete gastronomic experience with sea views.
On the lowest level, the sunbeds sit literally at the water's edge, designed so as not to obstruct either public passage or the unique view toward the Old Fortress.
Boutique & Wellness
The Imabari experience doesn't stop at food and drink.
The new boutique showcases curated summer wear and lifestyle pieces, giving guests the chance to complete their summer experience on site.
At the same time, yoga sessions are held by the sea, reinforcing Imabari’s character as a destination for wellness and relaxation.
The aim of Imabari’s evolution this year was to create a place where visitors have many different reasons to come and even more to return.
Imabari belongs to the Abros Group of the Alexopoulos brothers, which continues to invest in creating contemporary hospitality venues that elevate the visitor’s experience and showcase Corfu’s modern image.
