Tripadvisor users have once again named this years top destinations. In the «top ten» there is also a Greek island.
Tripadvisor has released the list of the top destinations worldwide for 2026, according to the preferences of travelers using the platform. The winners of the Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best awards are determined based on traveler reviews and ratings over the course of a year. Notably, a Greek island earned 9th place on the list of the 25 top destinations in the world.
Tripadvisor: Crete in the top 10 of the best destinations for 2026
Users of the popular travel platform named Crete the 9th best global destination in the Travellers Choice 2026 awards. Greece’s largest island once again ranks high on this Tripadvisor list, which is no coincidence.
Crete stands out for its culture, landscapes, cuisine, and mythological history. From imposing mountain ranges and gorges to dazzling beaches and fascinating archaeological sites, the island has something for everyone.
In the same awards, Crete took 4th place on the list of top destinations in Europe, while it was named the 8th best destination in the world for food. Crete is not the only Greek presence in this year’s Tripadvisor awards. On the list of the 25 top destinations in Europe, Santorini ranks 15th and Athens 23rd.
