Greek island among the best spring destinations in the world

Conde Nast Traveller singled out a Greek island as one of the 10 best destinations worldwide for spring travel.

From Morocco to Iceland and Mexico, Conde Nast Traveller showcases the best destinations in the world for holidays in April. The leading travel magazines list for this spring includes 29 places in total for every taste (from exotic islands to picturesque towns), while for each destination it notes the minimum and maximum temperatures for the season. A Greek island also features in the top ten of the recommended destinations.

Crete among the top spring destinations

Conde Nast Traveller recommends Crete as one of the worlds top destinations for an April escape thanks to the ideal temperatures, with the high at 20°C and the low at 11°C. «There is so much to see on Greeces largest island that every trip offers something different. April is an excellent time to explore the islands historic monuments before the crowds flood the beaches and the cities».

CNT suggests a day trip to the island of Spinalonga, as well as to Knossos, an important center of Minoan civilization. The magazine also recommends for travelers pursuing sustainable trips two eco-friendly resorts: Milia, Chania, a mountain retreat that runs on solar power and spring water, and the agritourism complex Dalabelos Estate in Rethymno.
