Forbes unveiled the 12 top destinations for travel in 2025. Among them is also a Greek destination - and its not an island!
Which travel destinations will stand out in 2025? Forbes published its list of the 12 top destinations for the year ahead. «From the serene beaches of the Maldives to the vibrant cultural landscape of Bhutan, these destinations offer a wide range of experiences that go beyond the typical holiday», the Forbes article notes.
Greece could not be missing from the list. This time, however, it’s not an island. Athens and specifically the Athenian Riviera is the leading Greek destination that Forbes singled out for 2025.
The Athenian Riviera among the top destinations of 2025
The Athenian Riviera features in 4th place on Forbes’s list. In its article, Forbes notes: «Travel to the Greek islands is booming, as crowds flock to both the well-known (Santorini and Mykonos) and the lesser-known (Naxos and Ios). The next great Greek seaside sanctuary lies just 10 miles south of Athens.
In the 1950s, the Athenian Riviera attracted celebrities such as Frank Sinatra and Jackie Onassis to its famed beach clubs and sun-drenched shores. Today, the area is ready for a revival, as luxury accommodations have opened there like the five-star Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens (the brand’s first in Greece) and One&Only Aesthesis (with bungalows and three pools)».
