Keukenhof, Netherlands

The famed Keukenhof Gardens are located near the town of Lisse in the Netherlands. They opened to the public in 1950 at the initiative of Lisses mayor, who organized a tulip exhibition, and since then they have evolved into a world-famous attraction. About 7 million flower bulbs are planted here every year across an area of 79 stremmas. When they bloom the spectacle is truly unique.

The Palace of Versailles is also known for its vast gardens with their many fountains and statues. The overall garden of Versailles spreads across three levels behind the palace and is the continuation of the palaces architecture.
