Lake Vouliagmeni, Corinthia

At a distance of 15 km fromLoutrakithere is a beautiful landscape, that of Lake Vouliagmeni. Yes, you read that right there is a Lake Vouliagmeni in Corinthia too. It is a natural lagoon with wonderful waters and a sandy beach. Its waters are considered especially warm and allow swimming until late autumn. The best beach lies on the western shores and is carpeted with fine white sand. There are also a few tavernas at the lake serving fish and meats. Nearby is the archaeological site of the Heraion, with the ruins of the ancient temple dedicated to the goddess Hera reaching almost into the sea.

Kalogria, Achaea

Kalogria Beach in Achaea, 45 km west of Patras, has devoted fans - and not without reason. It is one of the largest and most beautiful in the Peloponnese. The 9-kilometer golden sand, the turquoise crystalline waters and the natural beauty offered by the Strofylia pine forest will enchant you. It also features sandhills (dunes), with the most impressive one in its northern part. Kalogria is ideal for those who want the amenities of an organized beach, but also for those who prefer relaxation and seclusion.

Fokianos, Arcadia

Crystal-clear waters and a beautiful natural setting await you at the superb beach of Fokianos with its large white pebbles, which is well hidden among lush green mountain slopes. There are places to eat and enjoy your coffee. The nearest village, Poulithra, is an hour from the beach and the road has many bends that require attention, however the scenery and the waters in thissecluded semicircularcove will reward you.

Kyparissi, Laconia

One of the best-kept secrets of Laconia is Kyparissi, between Leonidio and Monemvasia.It is a beautiful and solitary seaside village, where the spurs of Mount Parnon meet the blue waters of the Myrtoan Sea. The area boasts beautiful beaches. The most famous is Megali Ammos, a wide shore with white pebbles and crystal-clear waters, while for those who prefer tranquility there is Agia Kyriaki beach.

Marmari, Laconia

Considered by many the finest sandy beach of Mani,Marmari is about 40 km from Areopoli in the Tainaron area. In essence it consists of two very beautiful sandy beaches with fantastic, turquoise waters and a captivating view of the bare hillsides that plunge into the sea. The first beach has umbrellas, sunbeds and a bar, while just 10 minutes on foot away there isa second, smaller beach, ideal for quieter dips.

Voidokilia, Messinia

The star beach of western Messinia, with a crescent shape, powder-white sand and lovely turquoise waters, is a place you simply must visit. It is next to the Gialova Lagoon, 10 km from Pylos. The wider area has been designated a place of special natural beauty and is included in the Natura 2000 network. If you want to enjoy the best view of Navarino Bay and you like hiking, it is worth the effort to climb up to Palaiokastro and Nestors cave beneath it.

Golden Coast of Kyllini, Ilia

The beach of Loutra Kyllinis, just a few kilometers from the village of Kastro, is one of the most beautiful beaches of the Peloponnese. Locals call it Golden Coast. It is an endless beach, 5 kilometers long. The shallow waters and the golden, fine sand make it ideal for families with children. Close by are the Roman baths with therapeutic properties from volcanic springs.
