Mylokopi
An hour and a halfs drive from Athens and 20 minutes from Loutraki lies a gorgeous beach that gives you the sense youre on some exotic island. This is Mylokopi, a sandy beach with fine pebbles, set in a stunning pine-covered landscape that blends mountain and sea. The beach is divided into two sections due to an earthquake that occurred in ancient times. One side consists of dark, clean sand, while the other is dominated by impressive fractured slabs. The waters are crystal clear, with a distinctive turquoise hue, and behind the beach stretches a lush green pine forest.
Beach of the Archaeological Site of the Heraion of Perachora
The archaeological site of the Heraion sits at the tip of the Perachora peninsula, just 20 minutes from Loutraki and 10 minutes from Perachora. Here, near the Heraion Lighthouse, at Cape Melagavi, the ruins of an ancient temple dedicated to the goddess Hera survive, reaching almost into the sea. In front of the archaeological site, a small, sandy beach with fine pebbles and wonderful waters awaits you for your swims.
Sterna
The route to the hidden beach of Sterna may not be all that easy, yet the scenery and the crystal-clear waters will reward you. It is a magical cove, ideal for quiet dips, with a large rock that separates a small seawater pool from the open sea. To reach the beach you will pass Perachora after Loutraki and follow the road leading to Sterna, which for about 1 km. towards its end is a passable dirt road. The final stretch, however, is only for 4x4s, so its better to cover it on foot.
Skalosia
Isolated and accessible at the same time, Skalosia retains its wild natural beauty. You can find this quiet and pristine beach just 15 minutes beyond the road that leads to Lake Vouliagmeni (Corinthia) covering most of the distance on a paved route, before it ends in a large set of steps made of sea stones, which gives the final access to thepebbled beach. To reach the beach you will need to descend some stone steps and the scenery will reward you.
Lefki
And yet, near Loutraki, a hidden beach awaits that recalls the famed Shipwreck of Zakynthos. The enchanting Lefki is a small, almost private beach with blue-green waters and white sand, embraced by sheer cliffs, located next to the location Nisi in Petrita, a short distance from the Seal Cave. Access is difficult from land. In the past, it was possible to approach it via a path, which no longer exists due to landslides. Access to the beach is by sea. Whoever manages to go is certain to be rewarded.
