Just a few minutes before Leonidio, in South Kynouria, you will come across Sambatiki, one of the most idyllic seaside corners of the area. This picturesque fishing settlement with its small harbor and beautiful beach will win you over at first sight.
Sambatiki: For peaceful holidays like on an island
A small settlement with a picturesque little harbor, spread-out fishing nets, pristine waters and beautiful natural surroundings compose the tranquil setting in the fishing village of Sambatiki that feels like an island. The calm beach of the settlement with white pebbles is one of the most beautiful you will find along the coastline of Arcadia. On the beach stands the chapel of Panagia, while many fishing boats moor in the cove. In summer the pace here is lively. In the area there are rooms to let and tavernas where you can enjoy fresh fish.
Opposite Sambatiki lies the smaller beach of Theopefto -this one too with wonderful waters. To the north is the settlement of Livadi with the beach of the same name, organized. Higher up, on the mountainside, is the traditional settlement of Pragmateftis with stone whitewashed little housesand the enchanting view of the Myrtoan Sea. The whole area is ideal for holidays of relaxation and peace. Combine your swims with excursions to nearby places, such as Leonidio, the capital of Tsakonia, which is just 5 km from Sambatiki, the seaside Plaka and Poulithra.
