Kosoulto Guesthouse: A historic manor house for comfortable holidays in Arachova

Tradition, hospitality and luxury are what define the Kosoulto guesthouse in the heart of Arachova.

Nestled in a quiet neighborhood of Arachova, in the Sfalaki area and just a few meters from Lakka Square, the Kossoulto Guesthouse is an ideal choice for those seeking a dreamlike hospitality experience. The guesthouse is housed in a historic building with views to the mountain and the Delphi plain. The stone-built mansion has a long history dating back to 1880, as it was first renovated in 1963 by the Greek-American K. Papadimitriou, a local benefactor of the village, who among other things donated the clock – bell tower of St. George.

In 2023 the corner building was reconfigured into a comfortable accommodation, without losing its traditional character at all. All areas of the guesthouse are bathed in light and styled with elegance, with elements of wood and stone prevailing. The renovated spaces exude a sense of relaxation and warmth for guests.

The name Kossoulto derives from an old social custom of the neighborhoods women. After dusk, from spring to autumn, they gathered in the houses cellar, where the elder women advised the younger ones on household matters and the weaving art that is widespread in Arachova. These gatherings were named as such with inspiration from Byzantine times, stemming from the Latin term consultarum, and are part of Arachovas cultural heritage. Thus, the guesthouses name is a tribute to local tradition.

The guesthouses location is unique, with an east-south orientation bathed in the light of Parnassos, amid granite alleyways and stone-paved cobbled lanes.
