Even an amateur photographer with no experience can win a 10-day trip to Iceland with all expenses paid.
The «land of fire and ice», Iceland, seems to belong to another world. Glaciers that shimmer in the sunlight, active volcanoes that release heat from the depths of the earth and the Northern Lights that illuminate the sky at night compose the enchanting backdrop of this remote northern country. Who wouldnt want to travel there?
The national airline of Iceland offers the chance even to those without a shred of photographic talent to visit the country with all expenses paid. As Time Out notes, it is a 10-day round trip to Iceland that includes flights, accommodation and spending money while there.
How to win a trip to Iceland
Icelandair created the campaign «Really bad photographer» (really bad photographer), to prove that even the worst photographer can capture stunning photos of Iceland. The winner does not need to have absolutely any experience in photography. What they need to do during the trip is to capture the countrys impressive landscapes through their lens.
In addition to the free trip, the winner will receive the impressive sum of around 43,000 euros for their participation and for the license to use their photos by the company. On the campaign website there are a few questions and the conditions for entering the competition.
To participate, you must be at least 21 years old, have no professional experience in photography, hold a valid passport and meet the travel requirements for the United Kingdom, the USA and Iceland. You should feel comfortable sharing videos and photos of yourself, enjoy people and be ready to be recognized internationally for your unique photography style.
Additionally, you must be able to take part in physical activities and outdoor adventures and go hiking. To increase your chances, add a 60-second video explaining why you should be selected. Applications are open until 30 April 2026.
