Greece’s road network has been modernized in recent years when it comes to highways and main arteries, but what about the regional network, especially on the islands?
Answers come from a survey conducted by the car rental platform DiscoverCars.com, which polled 11,000 tourists who rented a car on their holidays. The questions focused on the quality of the road network in the country they visited, asking travelers to rate it from 1 to 10.
In first place is New Zealand with a score of 8,71/10, with Poland (8,70) and Spain’s Canary Islands (8,61) completing the top three. Greece is in 18th place with an average score of 7,36/10. Turkey is in 13th place on the list, with an average score of 7,88/10.
At the... bottom of the list is Sicily with a score of 6,55/10, with Malta in the penultimate spot at 6,56/10. Third from last is North Macedonia with a score of 6,60/10.
