With a special anniversary event at its facilities in Giannitsa, ALTERRA celebrated 22 years of a successful journey on Saturday 10 October. The event took place in the presence of partners from all over Greece, in an atmosphere of heartfelt emotion and warm hospitality.
Guests were given a tour of the modern production facilities, seeing firsthand the new infrastructure, technological investments, and production processes that ensure ALTERRA's high quality standards. The anniversary event was an opportunity to reflect on the company's history, present new investments, and strengthen relationships with its partners.
In his speech, Mr. Theodoros Rousopoulos, ALTERRA's founder and CEO, emphasized the human factor from the very first moment, stressing that above all it's people who make the difference and stand behind every success. He then looked back on the company's 22-year journey, highlighting its close bond with the fertile land of Pella, its export orientation, and its ongoing investment in technology. He made special mention of the growth of the Greek market, which today represents approximately 50% of the company's activity.
A standout and especially moving moment was the honorary award presented to Mr. Kostas Simos, Sales Director, for his twelve years of service and his decisive contribution to ALTERRA's growth in the Greek market. The presentation of the honorary plaque signaled the gradual passing of the baton to a new generation of executives, with him stating, visibly moved, that he would continue to stand by the company.
Equally warm and moving was the speech by Ms. Vefa Rousopoulou, ALTERRA's Commercial Manager, who represents the company's second generation, continuing the family business tradition with respect for the values that laid its foundations and with an eye on the future. Through her speech she highlighted the importance of people, long-standing partnerships, and bonds of trust that are the heart of ALTERRA.
