The ANiMA Gallery in Glyfada presents the new solo exhibition by Lambros Stavropoulos titled «Genesis – Cosmogony», curated by Nektarios–Alfredos Gouveris. \\n
The exhibition opening took place successfully on Saturday 6 December and will remain open through Saturday 20 December. During his studies in San Francisco, Stavropoulos shaped his personal visual vocabulary through Abstract Expressionism.
This time he returns with a body of works that move between darkness and light, where his palette becomes deeper, more metallic and often darker, without losing the vivid chromatic energy that characterizes his work.
The exhibition approaches «cosmogony» not only as a mythological beginning, but as a contemporary experience: the inner eruption that accompanies every significant change in life. At its core lies the idea of oppositions – light/darkness, matter/void, knowledge/overload – as forces that give birth to a new reality.
The theme is also connected with today’s technological transition, where humans are constantly called to redefine their role within a world that is changing rapidly. With chromatic «outbursts», dynamic gestures and bold semiotic linework, Stavropoulos creates works that function like snapshots of a personal or universal rebirth.
Visit the exhibition and experience your own «cosmogony».
