The magic of summer comes alive in the Cyclades with the major cultural event, the Festival at the Park by the Environmental and Cultural Park of Paros. Travelgo visited Paros Park and captured the unique landscape.
Discover the cultural treasure of the Cyclades this summer, as the Festival at the Park brings enchanting artistic evenings from June to September 2025, at the Environmental and Cultural Park of Paros, promising a unique experience on the island of Paros. An event with a rich and multi-faceted program, filled with theater, dance and music performances, featuring important artists, creative groups and cultural institutions from Greece and abroad, that gives new meaning to the heart of summer in the Cyclades.
Visitors will have the opportunity to combine culture with the magic of a protected natural landscape, of great geological and historical significance. In the heart of the Aegean, this landscape offers the perfect stage to live unforgettable moments, as natural beauty and cultural heritage harmonize to create an experience that moves and inspires.
Music at Paros Park
Music events take center stage in this years summer program at Paros Park. The summer celebration begins on June 20, with the children’s concert by Giorgis Christodoulou «But where did the moon go», and continues on June 25 with a concert of compositions by Giorgos Ventouris under the title «Broken Quartet». As summer progresses, the musical happenings intensify, with the concert by Lena Platonos, with Savina Yannatou, Giannis Palamidas and Stergios Tsirliagkos scheduled for July 11. The next musical event is the tribute to Loukianos Kilaidonis on July 21, with Maria Kilaidoni, Doros Demosthenous, Penny Baltatzi and Christos Papadopoulos. Next come the concerts by the renowned French double bassist Marc Buronfosse (FR) on July 23, and by Riza (GR) & Stefan Tsapis (FR) duet on July 30 with melodies, tunes and stories from the islands of Greece to the shores of Asia Minor blended with jazz notes and Mediterranean musical landscapes, under the title «Roots of the Mediterranean».
On August 4 an evening dedicated to the magic of opera and lyric song, titled «Opera under the stars», will carry the audience through galaxies of melodies and emotions with the participation of the mixed choir of the Parian Conservatory Mythodia. Scheduled to follow are concerts with Marina Spanou on August 5 and Ypogeia Revmata on August 9, while on August 27 Paros Park will host the French choir PSL Chamber Choir. August will conclude with the traditional festival «Ai Giannis» on August 29, while the Festival will close in September, with a chamber music concert by Trio Fagotissimo on September 6 and a concert of music from the Renaissance to the 20th century under the title La Catena d’ amore on September 13.
Theatre & Dance at Paros Park
As for the theater and dance scene of this year’s Festival at the Park, on June 27 the audience will have the chance to attend the Medea, in a trilingual version (Greek, English and French), directed by Marc Lemoine, while the Ballet of the Greek National Opera, in co-production with the renowned The Place in London, present on July 4 Future Cargo, a science-fiction dance performance unfolding on a 12-meter-high truck. On July 16 comes the production The only journey of his life, one of the most emblematic texts of Greek prose, by Georgios Vizyinos, directed by Dimos Avdeliodis. On August 11 the Festival will host the production Backgammon, directed by Alexandros Rigas and finally on August 25 we will see at the Park the theater production Giannis of Voudi, directed by Panagiotis Liaropoulos and text by Evangelia Gatsoti.
Paros Park, through a multitude of cultural, educational, environmental and other actions, aspires to offer year-round opportunities and new experiences to the community, as well as to the island’s visitors. It is a municipal enterprise, founded in 2009, aiming to offer a new perspective on cultural and quality tourism in the islands of the Aegean and in Greece. The Environmental & Cultural Park of Paros, a pioneer of its kind in the Cyclades, is a theme park that extends across an 800-stremma peninsula and operates to protect and showcase the peninsula of Ai Giannis Detis. It organizes the Festival at the Park every summer, under the artistic direction of Themistoklis Karpodinis.
