The historic Swiss watchmaker ushers in a new era of exploration with four special watch collections designed for today's explorers. At the heart of this new identity is the term wanderlust [from the German words wandern (to wander) and lust (desire)], which, however, expresses more than a desire to travel. It speaks to the human urge to break free from the everyday, leave the noise behind, and follow new, uncharted paths.
Gallet was founded in 1826 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, at the heart of Swiss watchmaking, and created timing instruments for the innovators and explorers who shaped a new era in aviation, motor racing, sailing, and exploration. Its watches recorded the time of the Wright brothers' first powered flight, helped pilots keep track of the hour in different cities around the world during the earliest intercontinental flights, and immortalized champion racer Rex Mays's victory at the Springfield Mile. Wherever there were limits to be broken, Gallet was there.
Over time, its chronographs earned the trust of those operating in uncharted conditions who wouldn't compromise on their demands. That drive endures. Today, Gallet returns as a sister brand to Breitling, ready to embark on a new age of exploration.

GALLET'S 200TH ANNIVERSARY
Gallet returns with customizable designs and quick-release interchangeable straps that let the watch evolve in any environment and on any mission, wherever the journey leads. Personalization is immediate, with leather straps, rubber straps, rugged and fabric straps in a variety of colors, as well as stainless-steel bracelets. Across four collections covering three distinct families, every watch is crafted with reliable precision for modern adventures.
The collections are: Flying Officer for long-distance travel, Multichron Pilot for exploration and changing conditions, Multichron Sport for high speeds and off-road driving, and Gallet Classics for high-spec travel.
Flying Officer is more than a historic model. It's the template for the modern Gallet. Its signature city ring shaped the brand's visual language, while the warm patina of an aged vintage piece inspired Gallet's signature orange and green palette. Designed for the first intercontinental journeys, Flying Officer sets the tone for the new age of exploration, which continues today through the brand's collaborations with adventure lovers around the world. The Multichron family embodies Gallet's heritage in multi-purpose watches. Multichron Pilot draws on the demands of exploration and unpredictable conditions, while Multichron Sport is rooted in motorsport and high-speed racing.
To celebrate its 200th anniversary, the brand is also unveiling three special editions as a tribute to the Gallet Classic line, alongside the core collections. These watches exclusively use Breitling's hand-wound Caliber B09 chronograph movement. “Gallet was born in an age of exploration and has followed that path ever since,” says Georges Kern, CEO of the House of Brands (Breitling, Gallet and Universal Genève). “We're proud to bring Gallet to a new generation”.
GALLET'S ADVENTURES
Today, the brand collaborates with a new generation of professional explorers, conservationists, photographers, and filmmakers from around the world. Their weekly Field Notes dispatches began airing in July, featuring Donal Boyd, Benjamin Kellett, Dhir Jakharia, Benjamin Hardman, and L. Renee. Their work spans continents and landscapes: tracking injured elephants, paragliding across the Himalayas, sailing Arctic waters, documenting Kenya's wildlife, and exploring Northern California's rugged coastline. Together, they carry Gallet's spirit of adventure into the present. Destinations may have changed, but the instinct remains the same: to leave the familiar behind, seeking new places, new perspectives, and new stories.
FLYING OFFICER: THE ORIGINAL WORLD TRAVELER'S WATCH
Flying Officer was first released in 1939, at a time when international travel was becoming increasingly popular. Designed for the first intercontinental flights, it let pilots track the time at upcoming refueling stops via the city ring on its rotating bezel. Worn by notable figures like former U.S. President Harry S. Truman, who called it “the most elaborate watch he'd ever seen,” the piece quickly moved beyond cockpits to become the definitive watch for those roaming a world that was only just beginning to connect.
Today, the 40 mm Flying Officer returns with a fresh design for modern adventures. Its rotating bezel has been completely reimagined around 24 contemporary destinations, combining major international gateways with more remote points of exploration to reflect the evolution of travel. Though the cities have changed, the purpose remains the same: tracking time around the world. It's built to go far and stay in sync.
Flying Officer comes in two expressions with the same ethos: a chronograph rooted in the model's instrumental heritage and a three-hand version that distills its signature around-the-world design into a more streamlined daily watch.
The chronograph version comes in two colorways: light blue and black with tone-on-tone subdials, powered by the Gallet 23 chronograph movement (based on the Sellita SW510) with about 65 hours of power reserve. The three-hand version also comes in two colors: an orange edition inspired by the patina of an old Flying Officer and a dark blue edition. Both are equipped with the Gallet 17 movement (based on the Sellita SW200) with about 41 hours of power reserve.
INTERCHANGEABLE STRAPS
Gallet has designed its core collection to adapt to different environments and activities. A common lug width across the range and the integrated quick-release construction let customers change a strap—choosing from leather straps, rubber straps, fabric and rugged straps in various colors—in seconds, without tools. The stainless-steel bracelets use the same quick-release system and feature integrated micro-adjustment for added comfort and a precise fit, letting customers personalize their watch.
MULTICHRON PILOT: A HIGH-ENDURANCE EXPLORATION WATCH
Multichron Pilot debuted in 1969 as a purpose-built chronograph designed for long-duration timing and tracking a second time zone. Built for demanding environments, it delivered exceptional legibility in any light.
Today, the new Multichron Pilot returns with a fresh design for modern explorations. Measuring 42 mm, it's equipped with the Gallet 23 chronograph movement (based on the Sellita SW510) with around 65 hours of power reserve. Every watch features a bi-directional bezel and carries the “Multichron Pilot” inscription on the dial, along with a date window at 6 o'clock. It's available in two colors: black with white subdials and blue with black subdials. A telemeter scale measures the distance to an event using both sound and sight, reinforcing the watch's character as a precision instrument. Luminous hands and markers ensure outstanding readability in changing conditions. A watch for any occasion, with a resilient, textured dial and the ability to track a second time zone, it keeps pace as conditions shift.
MULTICHRON SPORT: THE WATCH FOR EVERY ADVENTURE
During the 1960s, Gallet models like the Multichron 12 Scientific helped shape a performance-driven, technical approach to timekeeping. Over time, the collection became inextricably linked to motorsport timing.
Today, Multichron Sport is built for every adventure, from asphalt to off-road trails. Staying true to its original purpose, it's engineered to measure speed with precision. Measuring 41 mm, it houses the Gallet 23 chronograph movement (based on the Sellita SW510) with about 65 hours of power reserve. The watch comes in two colors: dark blue with black subdials and black with white subdials and a date window at 6 o'clock. In both versions, the bold orange chronograph hands and the “Multichron Sport” inscription stand out clearly on the dial, making timing indications readable at a glance. The tachymeter scale lets you calculate average speed over a known distance. It excels on uncertain terrain, long after the road ends.
GALLET CLASSIC: GALLET CELEBRATES 200 YEARS
To mark its bicentennial, the brand presents the Gallet Classic, a trio of hand-wound chronographs shaped by the expertise of historians, collectors, and Gallet's long-time supporters. Inspired by some of the most important watches in the brand's history, the collection offers a modern interpretation of these iconic codes.
Each watch in the series features Breitling's hand-wound Caliber B09 chronograph movement. With compact 38 mm proportions and about 70 hours of power reserve, the Gallet Classic pieces offer a more refined and traditional expression of the brand's identity.
The Gallet Classic models are offered exclusively on straps. Thanks to the shared lug width across the collection and the integrated quick-release construction, customers can change a strap—choosing from leather straps, rubber straps, fabric and rugged straps in various colors—in seconds, without tools.

YACHTING BIG EYE: THE NAUTICAL CHRONOGRAPH
The Multichron Yachting Big Eye chronograph was created in the 1960s for regatta racing. Its signature “Big Eye” countdown display brought clarity to the chaos of the pre-start phase, as boats jostle for position in the final minutes before the starting signal, and it emerged as the watch's defining feature. The contemporary Tribute to Yachting Big Eye continues this story as a nautical chronograph that marries heritage with functionality. Its white dial is highlighted by a tone-on-tone subdial and a larger regatta subdial in dark blue and red.
GALLET CLASSICS - TRIBUTE TO MULTICHRON 45: THE CHRONOGRAPH FOR THE SMALL HOURS
The Multichron 45 was originally designed for precision timing and was used in aviation and motor racing, where clarity was essential. Its balanced dial and functional scales made it readable even in low light. Tribute to Multichron 45 breathes new life into this approach with a deep black dial, tone-on-tone subdials, and compact proportions. Anti-reflective by day and luminous at night, it remains legible every hour, from early-morning starts to night flights.
GALLET CLASSICS - TRIBUTE TO SILVERLIGHT: THE CHRONOGRAPH OF THE MODERN TRAVELER
Tribute to Silverlight takes its design cues from the historic Multichron Navigator. The original model featured a distinctive indicator that offered a way to orient on the move, guiding the wearer toward true north, paired with subtly irregular numerals that gave the dial rhythm and character. The contemporary model, with its silver dial, stylized numerals, and vintage aesthetic, is made for the modern traveler.
