The worlds top airports for dining and shopping, according to this years Skytrax awards.
Many airports around the world are not just a hub for the next connection, but a destination worth spending a few extra hours. The organization Skytrax published as part of the World Airport Awards the lists of the best airports based on customer satisfaction surveys.
The World’s Best Airport Dining category highlights airports with the best selection, quality and value in cafes, bars and restaurants, while the World’s Best Airport Shopping category includes airports with a top variety of shops, duty free and other retail options.
For yet another year, the multi-award-winning Singapore Changi Airport, with 13 distinctions in total, dominated the rankings. The airport was named the best airport in the world, but also first in the in-airport dining experience.
London Heathrow, however, took the top spot in the Airport Shopping Experience Award category, as the best airport for shopping, which is entirely logical if you consider it hosts the brands of the biggest fashion houses.
