In Megalochori, which is also the largest settlement on the island, you will walk along cobbled lanes,gaze at traditional houses with flower-filled courtyards and see the islands only windmill. The best beaches in Agistri
Skala is a large beach with golden sand and shallow, crystal-clear waters, just 100 m. from the port and ideal for families. To its left, following the coastal road, you reach the rocky beach of Skliri, with the lush pine forest behind it.
The islands most impressive beach is Chalikiada, with white pebbles, crystalline azure waters and sheer cliffs. The descent will challenge you, but the scenery will reward you.
Another beach worth seeing is the pebbly Dragonera on the islands western side. To the north there are the secluded, pebbly beaches of Magiza and Bariama.Finally, dont miss visiting exotic Aponisos. It is a beautiful little islet connected to the rest of the island by a narrow strip of land.
